A Belted Kingfisher and a Tricolored Heron were both fishing from a tangle of vegetation at the edge of the water. There was a little squabbling but it was mostly peaceful.

Up here this would be a double “wow”…not sure it’s rating where you are but both species are great to see and together, really special!

It’s hard to get a kingfishers in a shot here but to have it and another bird, fabulous!

I was tracking the Kingfisher. The Heron was a unintentional photobomber. Sometimes things just work out!
