It was a cold morning at the beach. Not nearly as cold as the recent arctic front though. There were ducks, gulls and loons in the distance. But a few birds came close enough for photographs. First, a Horned Grebe was swimming and diving just past the surf line.

Three Razorbills swam past a bit further out but still close enough for a shot.

A half dozen or so Sanderlings flew along the surf and landed right at the water’s edge. These are the small birds you see running along the very edge of the water dodging the waves.

The weather is returning to a more seasonal temperature so I will be out with my camera again, looking for more action.
All good shots…your fingers must be permanently frozen after these!
