Egrets are moving out but there are still occasions where large flocks pass through. This flock numbered over 100 and filled the trees and marsh for a time as they stopped to rest. Half of them were already on their way within a hour.
A lone Great Blue Heron joined the group for a bit.
This female American Black Duck looks a bit bewildered by all the commotion as the marsh filled with Egrets.
Huge flocks of Double-crested Cormorants are migrating as well. They don’t seem to have gotten the precise V formation down very well. Canada Geese could teach them a thing or two!
This Cormorant dropped down to take a break on some pilings at a boat launch.
