A potpourri of bird photos from the past month. No specific theme. Just some pictures that I like.
Great Blue Heron with a fish at the Assabet River NWR:
Sometimes the birds do stop and pose.

Willets look very different in flight. They blend in with the marsh where they nest but there is no mistaking them in flight!
Snowy Egrets actively hunt small fish. The black bill is a good field mark but the bright yellow feet really stand out.
Birds in My Viewfinder 
Like seeing the water droplets coming off the feet of the egret and being able to blow up a bobolink and see the different colors on the back is quite nice…this format works
