Two photographs of Peregrine Falcons…
The first is an in-flight shot on a bright autumn morning:

The second is more action than art. Another Falcon made a pass at a large number of shorebirds, most of whom took to the air and flew in a group evasive pattern called a murmuration. However, some birds dive under water rather than fly in order to avoid the predator. This photo shows the Falcon flying through the spray of water as a Lesser Yellowlegs tried desperately to submerge in shallow water. It couldn’t totally submerge of course, but the splashing water appeared to have thrown the Falcon off track.
